It has been a whirl wind ever since from district meetings, pre-planning, room decorating, and getting to know the staff I have been super busy. So with that said I can show you some photos from my class and other goodies from school. I hope you guys are excited as I am.

The Pickled Zombie vs Fashion

So after some deliberation I have decided to try a new type of post. I know most do a what i wore post but as you know I am not one for fashion. I am for comfort and fast dressing ability. It feels like I don't have time to decide what shirt goes with what and should I match my bag :)

So with keeping one of my goals in mind (which you can read here) I have decided to give you a glimpse into my fashion journey. Every few weeks I will give you a peek into the dressing room as I venture into stores and choose different outfits. The added bonus is I will tell you if I bought the outfit or not. There is a plus side for me the blogger as well, I want YOU the reader to tell me if you liked the outfits and if I should by them. See its a win/win for all. So lets get this party started!

How I normally look besides the face :)

Outfit 1

Outfit 2

Outfit 3

Outfit 4

So in the end I bought only the sweater from outfit 1
I know very uneventful to say the least.
So that makes the score
Pickled Zombie- 0.5 and Fashion- 1

So leave some comments let me know what you think about the segment and the fashion choices

Current Read: Let The Right One In

Now that I have read all 11 books in the Pretty Little Liars series (the 12 is due in December) I feel content enough to move on to another book that has been on my shelf for a good minute. I purchased this book when Borders was going out of business here in Florida. I will admit that I fell in love with the American film before I bought the book.

This book is called Let The Right On In and its about a little boy named Oskar living in Sweden in the 80s. He is a kid that gets picked on a lot in school and does not have many friends. One night he meets a girl and he finds her strange but intriguing. They form a friendship but soon he finds out that she is not what she seems and his whole world is turned upside down. If you have seen the trailer (which you can view here) you can figure out whats up.

I usually like to read the books before they become movies. I am the type of person that even though I complain about film adaptation I still like to see how the directors interpreted the book into film. With that being said I was a little out of my element in seeing a movie and then reading the book. So far I am extremely happy with the book it has the right amount of suspense and things so far that they could not really incorporate into the Swedish and American Film adaptions ( I have seen both). If you like horror novels I would recommend this one defiantly it has vivid writing and great character development.

What are you reading this week?

Lowry Park Zoo

So Its been a long time coming but here are the photos from our day at the Zoo on Tuesday, and although it was rainy we still had a blast!
Check out these photos

It was really amazing that even though it was super humid and rainy that the animals were still out and about. We usually go for their Halloween or Christmas celebrations which are at night so we do not get to see the animals. So I was really excited to see as many as we did.
What fun things did you do this week?
